Filmmaking is complicated.
Whether you’re making a multi-million dollar feature, or a promo for a local business, there are a ton of moving parts. Preproduction isn’t glamorous, but it's the difference between a smooth shoot and a disaster. Every unplanned additional shoot day means more money, more headaches, and more opportunities for things to go wrong.
There’s a myth out there that the job of an Assistant Director (AD) is to carry around a schedule and just yell at everyone.
That’s just a bad AD.
My goal is to help manage all the logistics of your production, allowing you to solely focus on nailing the creative vision.
We need to figure out where to source mealworms?
Done.
We need to plan 10 meals on a tight budget?
No problem.
There’s an incoming blizzard and we’re stuck in a cabin in the middle of the woods?
I’m on it.
We're shooting on a 100 degree day and the location's AC just broke?
Handled.
And not to brag, but I make my spreadsheets from scratch.
I have over 8 years of experience working on film sets across a variety of roles. My background allows me to effectively communicate with crew members, ensuring our shoot is efficient, without sacrificing artistic integrity.
If you have an idea, I can help make it happen.
Depending on where you’re at in preproduction, I can also assist with more producer-oriented tasks, like casting, hiring crew, securing locations, and renting equipment.
All you've got to do is reach out and tell me about your project.
